Betty Jo (Sullivan) Roundhead

Mrs. Betty Jo Roundhead, 72, of Swainsboro, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Community Hospice in Vidalia following an extended illness.

Mrs. Betty was born February 26, 1952, in Winter Haven, FL. to the late Floyd Sullivan and Lois Marie Scott. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Roundhead; son, Rob McColgin.

My grandma was always an adventurous woman. From marching in Woodstock to serving her country, Betty was always filling people’s hearts with her presence. She cared for everyone around her and brought joy to everyone she met.

True to her spontaneity, she loved ghost hunting, alien stories, and going to new places. Betty’s ghost stories will continue to live on and so will the beautiful life she lived. We love you and you will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, John Rainwater (Kimberly) of Swainsboro; sister, Brenda Dehronne (Mike) of Hollywood, FL.; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Entombment will follow the service with military honors.
