Betty J. Watson

Ms. Betty J. Watson, 66, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Serenity Place following an extended illness.

Ms. Watson was born February 14, 1955 in Swainsboro to the late Purvis Watson and Lillie Williams Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Chasity Watson. Ms. Watson loved playing the lottery, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and decorating. She was very involved with family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey (Keri) Watson, Clayton (Kedia) Watson, Mark Watson, all of Swainsboro; daughters, Tracey Watson, Nikkara Givens, both of Swainsboro; brothers, Ronnie (Margaret) Watson, James (Ann) Watson, both of Swainsboro; sister, Hattie (Willie) Parker of Swainsboro; 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
