Mrs. Billie L. Hood, 76, of Kite passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the University Hospital in Augusta.
Mrs. Hood was born July 2, 1938 in Reidsville GA to the late William Linton Kitchens and Annie Montgomery Kitchens. Mrs. Hood lived in Soperton during her teenage years and moved to Kite when she married Mr. Edwin Hood 55 years ago. She loved to work in her flower garden. Mrs. Hood was a homemaker, her life revolved around taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnessess of Swainsboro.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Edwin Hood of Kite; son, Tim (Amy) Hood of Swainsboro; daughter, Terri Hood Williams of Dexter; brother, Colon (Frances) Kitchens of Vidalia; grandchildren, Janessa (Abdi) Arellanes, Anna Johnson and Averi Williams all of Kite, Ty’landon Hackett of Swainsboro and Jennifer Corbin of Lawrenceville; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnessess of Swainsboro at 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, April 12, 2015 with Elder Scott Weigl officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service.
