Mr. Billy V. Chapman, Sr., 63, of Swainsboro died Tuesday, September 14, 2010.
Mr. Chapman was a life long resident of Emanuel County and was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur H. and Mattie R. Perkins Chapman, and brother Donnie R. Chapman. He was retired from BOC Gases and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years S. Jean Chapman; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Brandi Chapman, Swainsboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Jim Morris, Milledgeville, and Kellie and Curtis Armstrong, Swainsboro; grandchildren, Zoe Lumpkin, Ryan Armstrong, Zeb Lumpkin, Channing Jones, Michael Armstrong, Jessie Morris, Trey Chapman, Jada Armstrong, Brandon Chapman, Jobey Armstrong, Jordi Armstrong, Bryce Chapman, and Jonathon Armstrong; a sister, Ann Buxton, Kite; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Southside Baptist Church at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon, September 17, 2010 with the Reverends Earl Warnock and Jerry Redmond officiating. Entombment will be in Eastbrook Cemetery, Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday afternoon, September 16, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home, Swainsboro and Mr. Chapman will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to service.
