Mr. Billy M. Trull, Sr.,80, of Swainsboro, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at his residence surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of hard work, faith, and devotion. He was born on November 13, 1945, in Oak Park to the late William L. Trull and Effie Hudson Trull.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia Lynn Trull; sisters, Sara Williamson, Jannie Dorland; brother, George Trull.

Billy was a man of the Holiness faith whose love for God helped guide his life. He spent over 20 years working in construction, where he became known for his strong work ethic and ability to fix just about anything. Family and friends often joked about his talent for “Billy-rigging” things—finding a way to make anything work with creativity, determination, and a little ingenuity.

When he wasn’t working, Billy could most often be found doing what he loved most. He enjoyed fishing the river for redbreast, tending to his garden, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. He was also an avid fan of dirt track racing and rarely missed the chance to watch a race.

Above all else, Billy’s greatest joy was his family. Especially spending time with his loving wife, Eloise for their 60 years together. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply spending time together, he treasured every moment with those he loved. His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the center of his world, and the love he gave them will continue to live on in their hearts.

Billy will be remembered for his story telling, kind heart, hardworking spirit, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but the lessons he taught and the memories he created will remain for generations to come.

Billy is survived by his wife, Eloise Curl Trull of Swainsboro; son, Billy Mack Trull (Tracy) of Twin City; daughter, Rainey Hallford (James) of Reidsville; brothers, Emory Trull of Dellwood, Toby Trull (Tyra) of North Augusta, SC; sister, Eletha Dorsey of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Cearra Peebles (Dillon Potter), Taylor Trull, Summer Marsh, John Luke Edenfield, Austin Trull; great grandchildren, Daylen, Claira, Charlotte, Hazel, Jace, Greyson; bonus sons, Billy Dorland, Steven Dorland, Bobby Dorland, David Dorland; special nephews, Ricky Dorsey, Fred Dorsey, Chris Dorsey, Stevie Dorsey, J.J. Trull, Ronnie Williamson; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6th, 2026, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. prior to the service.
