Mr. Bobby G. Jones, 81, of Swainsboro died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Jones was born in Lexsy and a life long residence of Emanuel County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey C. Jones, Sr. and Minnie Neal Jones; brother, Harvey C. Jones, Jr. Mr. Jones retired with the Georgia Department of Transportation and loved working with computers. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen Moore Jones of Swainsboro; son, James C. "Grace" Bedgood of Millen; brothers, Lamar "Sarah" Jones of Baxley, Ray "Lagina" Jones of Tennessee; sister, Grace "Joey" Conway of Florida; granddaughter, Crissy "Jonathan" Evans of Reidsville; great-grandsons, Riley Evans and Cayden Evan of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11 o'clock Friday, morning February 8, 2013 with President Jack C. Fordham officiating. Burial will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Chapman Funeral Home.
