Mr. Bonson P. Herrington, 83, of Wrightsville died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Herrington was born in Millen and the son of the late Mack and Anne Reeves Herrington. He was the owner and operator of Ralston Purina Store for 30 years. Mr. Herrington loved being with his family and telling people about Jesus Christ. He was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church for 54 years and served as a deacon for 61 years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sue Taylor Herrington of Wrightsville; daughters, Bonnie (Ray) Canova of Hilton Head, SC, Jennie (Phillip) Boatright of Wrightsville; grandchildren, Brandi (Brent) Johnson of Wrightsville and Phil (Margaret) Boatright of Wrightsville; great grandchildren, Sydney Johnson, Colby Johnson and Greer Boatright all of Wrightsville.
Graveside services will be held in the West View Cemetery in Wrightsville at 11:00 o'clock Monday morning, June 18, 2012 with Rev. Tyler Plaxico officiating.
Family will recieve friends at there residence 2081 W. Elm St., Wrightsville.
