Braxton Jeremy Oliver, 14, of Twin City passed away October 16, 2022, at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro following injuries sustained in an UTV accident.

Braxton was born December 28, 2007, in Statesboro to Jeremy Jackson Oliver and Angel Johnson Oliver. Braxton is AKA "B-man" and known by his teammates as "Boulder" and "Cheryl".  Braxton has been an athlete his entire life since rec ball on through Varsity football.  When not at practice or under the Friday night lights, Braxton enjoyed roughhousing with his father and spending time with his family and friends.  In his family, he was referred to as "Mama's Boy".  He also had a very normal brother-sister rivalry relationship with his younger sister.  He enjoyed showing guardianship over his grandparents, Jessie and Debbie Johnson.  He also enjoyed spending time with his Papa Ricky, uncles Timmy and Chris, and cousin Gunnar.

Braxton was an honor student and thought highly of amongst teachers, faculty, and student body.  He was very strong in his faith and did not mind showing it.  Braxton was very empathetic and always showed love and kindness to everyone he came in contact with.

Braxton was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Larry and Louise Wilson, Johnny and Marjorie Johnson; paternal great-grandparents, Earnest and Ellen Jackson, E.C. and Roberta Oliver.

Survivors include his parents, Angel and Jeremy Oliver; sisters, Chloe Oliver, Bailey Grace Oliver all of Twin City; special brothers, M. J. Williams and Tyler Foreman both of Twin City; maternal grandparents, Jesse and Debbie Johnson; paternal grandparents, Ricky and Barbara Oliver, Annette Villegas all of Twin City; aunts and uncles, Asa and Jessica Johnson, Chris and Megan Oliver, Timmy and Tiffany Oliver, Steven and Nikki Boone, Marcus and Kayla Beckworth, Michelle and Teddy Odom, Amber and Lazaro Albor, Brandon Albor, Russell and Leslie Johnson, Sharon Sammons; numerous cousins, other aunts, uncles, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Rountree Field Stadium at Emanuel County Institute in Twin City with Pastor Jonathan Shepard officiating.

Interment will follow in Coleman Cemetery in Twin City.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Gunnar Oliver, Bradley Albor, Tuff Boddiford, Jon Wesley Olliff, Creed Sanders, Andrew Boone, Melvin Akridge, Joseph Conner, Brycen Purvis, James “Tubby” Parker, and Johnny Baird.

Honorary pallbearers are ECI Varsity Football Team, Class of 2026, ECI Band/Dance Line and ECI Varsity Cheerleaders.
