Mr. Calvin Blevins, 87, of Tignall GA died Monday, October 22, 2012 at his grand daughter’s residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Blevins was born in Burnsville NC. He was preceded in death by his parents Zackie and Lettie Mac Blevins; wife, Edith Blevins; son, Howard Blevins; daughter, Patsy Bodford; sister, Wilma Mitchell and brother, Print Blevins. Mr. Blevins was an all around outdoors man and attended Fishing Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Mabel Blevins of Tignall GA; son, Harold Blevins of Burnsville NC; daughter, Peggy McPeters of Burnsville NC; brothers, Stanley Blevins, Vernon Blevins both of Hickory NC and Thurman Blevins of Robinsville NC; sister Delie Jarret of Burnsville NC; 7 grandchildren, Teresa Hinsley, Tony Blevins, Andrea Blevins all of Burnsville NC, Marie Dale of Kite GA, Barbara Rathbone of Candler NC, Shane Tolley of Jonesboro TN, and Robin Tolley of Pineyflats TN; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be at K.C. Jones Cemetery in Burnsville NC at 2 o’clock Wednesday, afternoon October 24, 2012 with Reverend Russell Hughes officiating.
