Calvin Charlie Hillis

Mr. Calvin Charlie Hillis, 57, of Dublin, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on June 11, 1969, to Calvin Coolidge Hillis and Ruby Weeks Beasley.

Papa Bear was a Christian man who lived with kindness, warmth, and a gift for making friends wherever he went. He loved fishing, hunting in the quiet woods, and searching thrift stores for hidden treasures. He enjoyed good food especially fried chicken and even better company.

He never met a stranger, and people were naturally drawn to his easy smile and friendly spirit. Loved by many, he carried a special pride as a grandfather, and his family was the center of his world. Strong, gentle, and full of heart, Papa Bear leaves behind a legacy of faith, friendship, and love.

Mr. Calvin Survivors include his mother, Ruby Beasley of Sardis; daughters, Charlie Hillis of Claxton, Rebekah Hillis and Faith Grimes (Mark), both of McRae, DeLanah Faulk (Dylan) of Dublin; sons, Austin Trivett and Coolidge Hillis, both of Dublin; sisters, Lisa H. Taylor of Sardis, Carla P. Brown of Millen; 10 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Sunday August 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Corinth Christian Church with Reverend Ernest Johnson officiating.

Interment will be in Corinth Christian Church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Blake Faulk, Mark Lampp, Tyler Brown, Jeremy Howell, Guy Campbell, Jordan Howell, Mark Grimes, and Samuel Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Faulk, Marc Vecto, Kenny Brown, and Alan Brown.
