Carl W. Jones

Mr. Carl W. Jones, 81, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Jones was born September 17, 1939, in Leicester, NC to the late George Frazer Jones and Edith Davis Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah Ann Davis Jones; brothers, Terrell Jones, Bobby Jones, Ernest Pruitt; sisters, Ruth Pruitt, Doris Jones, Sarah Jones, Laura Rakeshaw. Mr. Jones spent his time piddling around and religiously sharpening his knives. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Little Chicago, SC.

Survivors include his sons, David Jones and Edward Jones, both of Swainsboro, Willie Lee Bunch of Reidsville, William Henry Davis of New Hampshire; granddaughters, Megan Portela of Dothan, AL, Kimberly Jones and Allison Jones, both of Statesboro, Jamielyn Jones of Swainsboro, Sherry Davis of Greenville, SC; grandson, Jacob Jones of Statesboro; great-grandchildren, Lanie Portela, Lennox Portela, Grayson Portela, Ethan Jones; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.
