Mr. Carvie Claxton, III, 35, of Swainsboro passed away, Sunday, January 14, 2024, at his residence.
Carvie was born in Dublin on July 27, 1988, to Carvie Claxton, Jr. and Nancy Flanders Claxton. He was preceded in death by his father, Carvie Claxton, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Mary Flanders; paternal grandparents, Carvie, Sr. and Thelma Claxton. Carvie loved his family and animals. He enjoyed playing video games and talking to people. Carvie was a member of Beacon of Hope Church of God.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Claxton Mincey of Swainsboro; stepfather, Bill Mincey of Swainsboro; brothers, Travis Claxton and Caleb Claxton, both of Swainsboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor John Hancock officiating.
Interment will be in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Michael Shoemake, Keith Dyches, Caleb Claxton, Travis Claxton, Earon Davis, and Dan Dyches.
