Mrs. Cecilia McNeely, 66, of Kite passed away Friday night, January 27, 2017, at Trinity Hospital in Augusta following an extended illness.
Mrs. McNeely was born September 7, 1950 in Macon, Ga. to the late Joseph Lawrence Irby and Ruby Boutwell Irby Webb. She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Verlon McNeely; brother, Frances Sydney Irby. Mrs. McNeely lived in numerous towns in southeast Georgia before moving to Kite, Ga. in 1996. She had a passion for Dotson Dogs and raised them for more than 20 years. Mrs. McNeely liked fishing, shopping thrift shops and yard sales, and loved cooking. She was a member of Kite Church of God.
Survivors include her mother, Ruby Boutwell Irby Webb of Macon; son, Michael McNeely (Kristi) of Kite; granddaughters, Gina Heuett, Brianna Heuett, Jada Coralee McNeely all of Kite; sister, Sharyl Irby Lance (Gary) of Macon; several nieces, nephews, and friends
Funeral services will be held at Kite Church of God at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, January 31, 2017 with Allen Meeks, and Daniel Porter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Kite City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1pm. to 3pm. Tuesday afternoon, January 31, 2017 at Kite Church of God.
Pallbearers are Bryson Rowland, Randy Buxton, Sonny Norris, Forrest Lee, Charlie Claxton, and William Herrington.
