Charles Edward "Pete" Ford

Mr. Charles Edward “Pete” Ford, 60, of Swainsboro passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was born on July 3, 1965, to Charles William Brown and Gladys Ford Coleman. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Brown and Brother, Tony Coleman.

Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Wilson of Vero Beach, FL; mother, Gladys Ford Coleman of Swainsboro; brothers, Chris Brooks (Chris) of Lyons, Larry Coleman, Randy Coleman, both of Swainsboro; sisters, Gloria McGee (Johnny) of Canoochee, and Pamela Newkirk (McKenzie) of Metter; grandchildren, Joel Lewis, Joliyah Mitchell, and Jolyeous Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Joel Lewis, IV, Gabrielle Lewis; devoted aunt, Cora Stenson of Swainsboro; companion, Valerie Stokes; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Chapman Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Homegoing Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
