Charles V. Mcrae

Mr. Charles V. McRae, 62, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. McRae was born May 11, 1957 in Palatka, FL. to the late Charlie McRae and Pearl Bessent McRae.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Vaughn. Mr. McRae was a carpenter with local Union 256 out of Savannah. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and making knives.

Survivors include his companion, Vicki McRae of Swainsboro, daughter, Tosha Cosby (David) of Metter, Dana Jones (Tommy) of Wadley, and Stacy Tanner (Don) of Oak Park; grandchildren, Taylor Johnson, Daylan Johnson, Autumn Johnson, Kayla Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Cameron Jones, Hunter Jones, Cody Jones, and Mattie Tanner; 5 great-grandchildren; many friends.

Memorial Service will be 7 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Cameron Kennison.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 6, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
