Charles Rich, Ii

Mr. Charles Rich, II, 60, of Midville, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025.

He was born on January 14, 1965, in Swainsboro, to Charles Rich and Ruby Marsh Rich.

Mr. Rich is preceded in death by his father, Charles Rich; wife, Janice Cannon Rich; sister, Linda Rich.

Known to many as Charlie, Charles, Charlie boy, Paw Paw and I’m sure many more Nick names, was a very loved man.  He was a simple man who loved his late wife dearly, his grandbabies, friends and family with everything in him.  Their happiness was always his top priority. He was a retired long-term truck driver, something that was just in his blood and he missed doing after he retired.  He was, also, someone that loved  trips to the mountains, motorcycles and music. Many nights of adults’ drinks and classic country were had with him alone with the telephone or he enjoyed with a fire and friends.  He loved to sing, play the guitar, watch all the good action movies and eat all the good snack cakes. This is just a small description of Charles but mainly he was a husband, a dad, a friend and a paw paw who would put a smile on your face and love in your heart.

Mr. Charles in survived by his mother, Ruby Marsh Rich; brothers, James Rich, Jerry Rich (Michelle), both of Baxley; sisters, Kathy Keel (Kenny) of Baxley, Georgia Sue Brannon of Metter, Donna Rich of Baxley; step-daughter, Tolita Willis of Dexter; step-son, Raymond Horton of Florida; special nephew, Cody Rich (Ashley) of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Olivia Chalker, Sierra Willis, Georgia Brown, Katelyn Kitchens, Wyatt Horton, Karlie Horton, Norma Jean Miller; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 17, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Chapman Funeral Home.
