Charles Franklin Riner

Mr. Charles Franklin Riner, 86, of Wrightsville passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Shamrock Health and Rehab in Dublin following an extended illness.

Mr. Riner was born May 26, 1933 in Meeks to the late Collie D. Riner and Jewel Kersey Riner.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie-Paule Deschenes Riner; brother, Jimmy Riner; sisters, Colleen Riner Kersey and Wannie Riner Cordry.  Mr. Riner served in the Army and National Guard for two years.  He retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base at the age of 48 after working for 29 years.  Mr. Riner enjoyed all sports and fishing.

Survivors include a special friend, Jean Jones of Swainsboro; stepson, Donald Lyons of St. Petersburg, FL; special nieces, Sheila (Jeff) Soles and Sherry (Carl) Brooks, both of Wrightsville; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Friday, May 1, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Caleb Soles officiating.
