Mr. Charles Garland (Charlie) Hall, 83, of Swainsboro died Tuesday evening, November 11, 2014 at the Georgia Medical Center in Macon following a brief illness.
Mr. Hall was born September 5, 1931 in Summertown to the late Ira L. Hall, Sr. and Daisey Scarboro Hall. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ira L Hall, Jr. Mr. Hall was a life long resident of Emanuel County. He retired from Trucks, Incorporated as a dispatcher, he enjoyed wood working and doing lawn care. Mr. Hall served in the United States Marines and was a member of the United Primitive Baptist Church in Swainsboro.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hall of Swainsboro; Alan (Chris) Hall of McDonough, Scott (Jan) Hall of Stockbridge and Newell Peters of Savannah; daughters, Vera Williams of Macon, Debbi (Col. Gregory) McCreary of Lizella and Susanna (Jimmy) Boyette of Guyton; brother, Tom (Ellen) Hall of Swainsboro; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the United Primitive Baptist Church in Swainsboro at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, November 14, 2014 with Elder Lee Price officiating with Elder Howard Rushing assisting.
Interment will be in the Bithynia Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday morning, November 14, 2014 at the church.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Stafford, Jerrel Cannady, George Steele, Larry Morrison, Chip Fulghum, Donald Hall, Coleman Hall and Andy Miller.
Honorary Pallbearers are Raymond Riner, Harry Jones, Jeff Gray, Charles Ellis.
