Mr. Charlie Coxwell, 62, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Coxwell was born September 21, 1958 in Swainsboro to the late Thomas Coxwell and Ellen Curl Jeter. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mark Coxwell. Mr. Coxwell was a retired truck driver. He was known as a super trucker. Mr. Coxwell was an avid race car fan and driver. He was a great provider, loved to fish, very witty and he loved in his own way.
Survivors include his sons, Ben Tapley (Meghan Thomson) and Joshua Coxwell (Devin), both of Garfield, Li’l Charlie Coxwell of Swainsboro; daughters, Tera Wheeler of Adrian and Brooke Scroggins (Jeremy) of Johnston, SC; brother, Todd Jeter of Frankford, KY; sisters, Susan Garner (Kevin) and Sharon Archer, both of Lebanon, TN; 10 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Brad McKenzie officiating.
Interment will follow in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Gauge Coxwell, Dillon Archer, Denny Barrett and Roger McKenzie.
In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
