Chorssie C. Jones

Mr. Chorssie C. Jones, 75, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Jones was born January 22, 1945 in Jackson, MS. to the late K. C. Jones and Reaber Crockrom Jones.  He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip Burke; 13 brothers; and 9 sisters. Mr. Jones loved listening to and singing the blues, especially Bobbie Blue Bland and BB King, and gospel. He enjoyed working on antique cars. Mr. Jones loved his family. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Burke Jones, of Swainsboro; son, Chorssie Jones, Jr., of Swainsboro; daughter, Stanya Blakely, of Long Beach, CA; brother, Carl A. Jones, of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Bertha Lee Jones and Brenda Jones both of Houston, TX; 3 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum with Rev. Gary Hackett officiating.

There will be a walk-in viewing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2020 at Chapman Funeral Home.
