Mr. Chris Brown, 66, of Twin City passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at AU following an extended illness.

Mr. Brown was born January 11, 1954 in Swainsboro to the late Laurel Wesley Brown and Margaret Louise Sumner Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Brown; sister, Lenora Beth Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Melanie Kay Brown of Twin City; sons, Travis (Brittany) Brown, Chad (Hannah) Brown, both of Twin City; daughter, Brandi (Stuart) Atkins of Auburn, AL; grandchildren, Wesley Brown, Bailey Brown, Brinslee Brown, Hunter Brown, Hayleigh Atkins, Brianna Atkins, Alayna Atkins, Aubrie Atkins; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Services will be Friday, September 4, 2020 10:30 a.m. at Excelsior Baptist Church Cemetery with Chaplain Franklin Sasser officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 3, 2020 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Morgan Attaway, Zach Martin, Lee Campbell, Jeff Lane, Julian Thigpen, Jonathan Olliff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to George L. Smith State Park.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during viewing and service.
