Mrs. Christine Kirby Daniels, 80, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Pruitt Health Care following an extended illness.
Mrs. Daniels was born March 29, 1935 in Greenville, SC. to Otis and Irene Kirby. She was a homemaker and loved to nurse people when they were sick. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and also a member of the order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; father, Otis Kirby; mother, Irene Kirby; husband, Otis F. Daniels; son, Stuart Daniels; Brothers, Lee Kirby, David Kirby, Joe Kirby, Willie M. Kirby; sisters, Bessie Mae Kirby, Lillian Kline, Nellie Ruth Wilson, Phyllis Cooper, Bobbie Jean Riner.
Survivors include her brother, Jerry (Judy) Kirby of Pooler, Ga.; sisters, Margaret K. Smith, Jeannette Webb (Bill) both of Swainsboro, Ga. and several nieces and nephews she always referred to as Shuga boogie.
Funeral services will be will be at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, September 18, 2015 with Elder Tommy Rountree, Reverend Earl Warnock, and Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday morning, September 18, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are nephews: Steve Riner, Mark Kirby, Darrell Wilson, Jeff Kirby, Bruce Kirby and Tim Webb.
