Mr.. Clark Judson Purvis, 74, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday night, August 3, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Purvis was born March 16, 1942 in Wadley Georgia to the late Sam Purvis and Bonnie Roberts Purvis. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lue Ree Purvis; sister, Faye Goins; brothers, Tanny Purvis, and Marvin Purvis.  Mr. Purvis worked as a diesel mechanic. He loved fishing, auctions, yard sales, and car racing.  Mr. Purvis was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brothers, Sam (Carolyn)  Purvis, Jr., Billy Purvis both of Wadley, and Thomas (Patricia) Purvis of Milledgeville; sister, Julia Tapley of Wrightsville; brother-in-law, Leroy Goins of Milledgeville; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11:00 AM Saturday morning, August 6, 2016 with Reverend Joe Bedgood officiating.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday evening, August 5, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Carroll Morgan, William Roberson, John Brett, Randall Williford, Michael Womack, and Vince Scott.
