Mr. Craig Washington, 46, of Swainsboro died Wednesday morning, November 28, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Washington was born in Carrolton GA before moving to Emanuel County in 1981. He was an avid football fan. His favorite teams were the Georgia Bulldogs and Swainsboro Tigers. Mr. Washington loved being with his family, enjoyed activities at the Emanuel County Training Service and attended the Rock Worship Center. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John and Eunice Caraway; paternal grandparents, Verdell Washington and Gertrude Spruell.
Survivors include his parents, Raymond M. Washington of Tallapoosa and Avanell Dukes of Twin City; sister, Kimberly Washington of Canton; aunt, Alatha Lawrence of Ailey; cousins, Janice Lawrence, Diane Lawrence, Steve Lawrence all of Ailey, Helen Hall of Vidalia; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Friday, November 30, 2012 with Rev. Ronnie Collins officiating. Burial will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday November 29, 2012 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Powell, Steve Lawrence, Diann Lawrence, Kenneth Braswell, Janice Lawrence, Roy Racheals, Travis Slater and Darrell Flanders.
Honorary Pallbearers are employees of Rainbow Care Home.
