Mr. Danny Frank “Cowboy” Thompson, 71, of Midville passed away, Sunday, December 17, 2023, at his residence.
Danny was born on March 17, 1952, in Swainsboro to the late James Leon Thompson and Willie T. Ware Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica Thompson; and brother, James Bennie Thompson. Danny was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed operating heavy equipment and also loved to train and ride horses. Danny was a graduate of Adrian High School.
Danny is survived by his son, Clint Thompson (Denise Braswell) of Swainsboro; daughter, Sera Harris of Warner Robins; special friend, Connie Jukes of Midville; brothers, Robert Thompson (Sandra) of Nunez, Mike Thompson (Linda) of Metter, Bill Thompson (Ann) of Twin City, Elmer Thompson (Jan Snooks) of Swainsboro; sisters, Pam Smith (Dorsey), Susan Smith (Johnny), both of Metter, Lucille Braswell (Don), Patrice Thompson, both of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Taylor White, Breanna White, Jordan Thompson, Janah Hart (Justin), Kayla Norris, Karmen Thompson; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverends Jonathan Shepard and Jack Whitehead officiating.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Nasworthy, Lynn Nasworthy, Phil Salter, and Ronald Boatright.
