Mr. David “Speck” Hall, 66, of Swainsboro entered his heavenly home Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on February 4, 1958, in High Point, NC to the late William A. Hall and Shelba Jean Hopkins Hall. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ricky Hall.
Speck worked for WBM Construction until retirement. He was a hardworking simple man; you could always find him in the shop doing something. He loved old cars, fishing, building things, and animals, especially his birds. He enjoyed having family and friends over and having cook outs. Speck was a cut up, and you knew you were family when he started picking at you.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall of Swainsboro; sons, Josh Hall (Randi) of Kite, B J. Braswell and Bradley Braswell (Christa), both of Swainsboro; daughter, Cindy Hackle of Swainsboro; brothers, Darrell Hall (Sharon) of Metter, Scotty Hall (Valarie) of Swainsboro; sister Rene Harper of Abbeville; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Flowers and Reverend Tim Price officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Mason Hall, Hunner Hall, Jacob Faircloth, Tyler Hackle, Brandon Hackle and Clint Hall.
