Debbie Lavelle (House) Nelms

Mrs. Debbie LaVelle Nelms, 67, of Murphy, NC passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at Hospice of Chattanooga in Chattanooga, TN following an extended illness.

Mrs. Nelms was born August 1, 1954, in Habersham County to William Waymon House and Hazel LaVelle Dean House. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Nelms; brother, Stanley House. Mrs. Nelms was an Army Veteran. She enjoyed collecting cans. Mrs. Nelms was an animal lover who worked as a veterinary technician, as well as in the hospitality industry. She was of the Protestant Faith.

Survivors include her sister, Terri Fleming of Adrian; nephews, Van R. Fleming, Jr. and Christopher Fleming, both of Adrian; niece, Melissa L. Fleming of Adrian; and many friends.

Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.
