Mrs. Della Mae Reese, 84, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Reese was born July 23, 1938, in Covena to Charlie Derriso and Thelma Stephens Derriso. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Roy Reese, Sr.; son, Roy Reese, Jr.; great-grandson, Michael Walker, Jr.; 4 brothers; 1 sister. Mrs. Reese enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggert Ministries and the weather channel.  She enjoyed crafts with crocheting, fishing, and gardening. Mrs. Reese loved spending time with her family and especially traveling to the beach at Jekyll Island.  She was proud to be a 5 th generation.  Mrs. Reese was a member of Swainsboro 1 st Assembly Church for over 40 years.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Kirkland (George) of Midville, Kay McGee of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Christy Hayslip (Brian), Beth Love (Andy), Terri Valiton (Greg), Jessika Martin (Trent), Jeff Kersey (Melany), William Stockholm (Marjorie), Barbara Lloyd (Jeremy), Wade Reese, Wes Johnson (Kristie); pet bird, Bubbles; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Brother Levi Carpenter, Brother Robert Goodbread, and Brother Donnie Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow in Odomville Cemetery in Adrian

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mason Johnson, Austin Stockholm, Elijah Lloyd, Nathaniel Lloyd, Joe Diekemper, Adam Boatright, and Colby Scott.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Swainsboro 1 st Assembly Church and Dot West.

The family will be receiving friends at the residence of Kay McGee at 336 Thigpen Dr, Swainsboro located directly across from East Ga State College.
