Ms. Denise Michelle (Sikes) Wilson, of Stillmore, entered into rest on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the age of 58, after a sudden illness.
Born in Lake Wales, Florida on February 29, 1968, Denise was the daughter of Maxie (Beasley) Moody and the late Larry Sikes.
Denise touched the lives of those around her with light, laughter, and a beautifully free spirit. Denise who pursued her passions with determination and pure grit and was never afraid to get her hands dirty if it meant getting the job done right. She loved her family and friends and looked forward to family gatherings. Denise found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved the beaches in Florida and cherished her time spent by the ocean with the dolphins, where peace came easily and memories were made with those she loved most. She had a special gift for loving deeply and wholeheartedly.
As a devoted mother to her son Dylan, Denise’s love was deep, true and unwavering, and a true reflection of what a mother should be. She loved her son fiercely and stood by him through every season of life with strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. He was her purpose—her prayer answered.
Denise’s life was a testament to passion, love, and living freely. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to give to others without hesitation defined who she was. She had an enormous heart, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Denise is survived by her son, Dylan Wilson of Stillmore; her mother, Maxie (Beasley) Moody; her companion of 16 years, Mary Castro and her children Tristan, Destenee and Trea. She is also survived by her sister, Nena (Sikes) Harrell of Soperton, Ga, and her brothers, Allen Sikes (Teresa) of Athens, Georgia, Joshua Sikes of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Anthony Bowden (Kristy) of Paragould, Arkansas. She leaves behind several beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and two special cousins who were like her daughters, Casey Sonnier and Stacey Scarboro, and a large extended family.
Proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Frankie Beasley; her paternal grandparents, LH and Alma Sikes; a stepfather, Michael Moody; a brother, Mitchell Sikes; a special Aunt, Linda Sikes.
