Don H. Powell

Mr. Don H. Powell, 67, of Midville passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Select Medical following an extended illness.

Mr. Powell was born August 14, 1953 in Millen to the late M. L. Powell, Jr. and Louise Jenkins Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Don was a retired "do it all" steelworker.  He did welding, fabricating and steel erecting for various companies.  Don was a motorcycle enthusiast.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and having a good ole time.

Survivors include his sons, Ashley (Stephanie) Lanier Powell of Metter, John Wesley Powell of Dearborn, MI; daughter, Jessica (Michael) Purvis of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Gavin Powell, Ashton Powell, Logan Creamer, Nicholas Purvis; adopted grandchildren, Mason Tanner, Maddie Horn; sisters, Sharon (Steve) Peebles of Adrian, Janet Powell and Angie Coleman, both of Summertown; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Memorial Service will be Sunday, November 22, 2020 3 p.m. at Bishop Chapel Church Cemetery.
