Donald Charles Long

Mr. Donald Charles Long, 76, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at PruittHealth Bethany in Millen following an extended illness.

Mr. Long was born February 8, 1947, in Flint, Michigan to the late Charles Herbert Long and Martha McClain Long.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammie Wiggins; brother, Roger Long; granddaughter, Nikki Long.  Mr. Long served in the U.S. Navy for years.  He loved his family.  He enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting, cooking out and bingo games.  Mr. Long was a member of Blundale Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Long of Swainsboro; sons, Donnie Long (Mela), Wayne Long (Theresa), Richie Woodworth (Michelle), all of Flint, MI, Oran Woodworth of Swainsboro, Lee Gilmore of Petoskey, MI; daughters, Cindy Carter (Frank) of Claxton, Crystal Shouder of Honor, MI; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many friends.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Blundale Baptist Church with Reverend Shannon Boula officiating.

Inurnment will be in Blundale Baptist Church Cemetery.
