Donald “Donnie” Beckworth

Mr. Donald “Donnie” Beckworth Sr., 66, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Beckworth was born August 15, 1954 to the late J. D. Beckworth and Bertha Downs Beckworth. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tommy Beckworth, Jimmy Beckworth, Nolan Beckworth; sisters, Ann Newsome and Carolyn Mimbs. Donald “Donnie” Beckworth, Sr. was born August 15, 1954 in Emanuel County, GA. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was in the auto body repair business for 46 years. He owned and worked in body shops in both Emanuel and Jefferson counties. He was an avid guitarist and enjoyed singing with his family and friends. He has been a member of the Church of Nazarene of Swainsboro since 1978.

Survivors include his sons, Donald Beckworth, Jr. (Kayla) of Atlanta and Samuel Beckworth of Dellwood; daughters, Fran (William) Brantley of Vidalia, Meagan Wright-Panos (Brandon) of Chandler, Arizona, Kaitlyn (Kyle) Nasworthy of Statesboro, Makayla (Joe) Woods of Albany; sister, Margie Martin of Swainsboro; step-brother, Billy Poole (Erin) of Milledgeville; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorial Service will be private at a later date.
