Donna (Rainey) White

Ms. Donna Rainey White, 57, of Twin City passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Meadows Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Ms. White was born January 29, 1963 in Millen to the late Virgil Cecil Rainey, Sr. and Amanda Jean Lovett Rainey. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Virgil Cecil Rainey, Jr., Lloyd Proctor, Jimmy Proctor, Wayne Proctor, Danny Proctor; sisters, Katie Scarboro, Bonnie Proctor. Ms. White worked at Fiber Optic Communications for more than 20 years. She was an excellent cook. Ms. White enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and riding her tractor. She loved shopping with her daughter, Rainey. Ms. White was a hard worker with a big heart. She loved her pets: 2 dogs and a cat. Ms. White loved her family. She was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Michael Eugene Wilkes, II of Twin City; daughter, Rainey Leigh (Jim) Canady of Twin City; granddaughter, Rayleigh Grace Canady; brother, Gene Watson (Becky) Rainey of Twin City; sisters, Edith Gavidia & Rita Lindsey, both of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 11 a.m. at El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Will Jackson officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 20, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are David Rainey, Anthony Rainey, Chris Rainey, Donnie Reynolds, Wade O’Neal, and John Proctor.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during viewing and service.
