Mrs. Dovie Bush (commonly known as Dove), 76, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her residence. She was born on January 6, 1950, in Swainsboro to the late Charlie Ezra Bush and Lucille Giles Bush.

Dovie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Moseley; brothers, Buck Bush, Leroy Bush, Kenneth Bush, Dalton Bush and Glynn Bush.

She was a loving grandmother, mother, sister, and friend whose kindness and warmth greeted the hearts of each of whom she met. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her love for her family, and the special memories she created with those around her.

She especially loved spending time with her family. Some of her favorite moments were simply enjoying good food while going out to eat, sharing conversations, and sitting down to enjoy a good cup of coffee. It was the simple moments spent together that she treasured most.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love, memories, and the moments shared together will remain in our hearts forever.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Survivors include daughters, Chris Pritchard (Marty) of Swainsboro, Wendy Hadden of Dublin; sister, Geraldine Kersey of Kite; grandchildren, Jodi Singletary (Guy), Baron Pritchard (Whitney), Barrett Pritchard, Bennett Pritchard (Stephanie), Emma Pritchard, Shae Bradley, Davie Register (Cartar); three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2026, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Lamar Way officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
