Dr. Kenneth Orville “Ken” Love, 82, of Swainsboro passed away Friday morning, December 15, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.
Dr. Love was born October 10, 1935 in Fittstown, Oklahoma to the late Orville Everett Love and Eunice Ellen King Love. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Everette E. Love. Dr. Love spent his adult life establishing and reviving Independent Baptist Churches in the USA, Canada, and the Cayman Islands. He had been a member of Southside Baptist Church since 2009.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ramona June Lowry Love of Swainsboro; sons, Mark Steven Love (Donita) of Crest Wood, KY., David Kenneth Love of Charleston MO., and Adam Lowry Love (Kelly) of Union Grove, WI.; daughter, Rebecca Jean Klein (Dane) of Rock Hill, SC.; foster daughter, Donnia Alexander (Darrell) of Peru, South America; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be at Southside Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 with Reverends Chad Kennison, Bob Larson, Earl Warnock, John Bailes, and Ken Eddy officiating. Dr. Love will lie in state one hour prior to service.
Burial will take place in Ewing IL at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.
