Mrs. Elizabeth Kate Jones, 64, of Kite passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, May 11, 2026. She was born on December 22, 1961, in Lake Charles, LA to the late Ellis Ward Hall and Bertie Ruth DeLoach Hall. Beth was preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren, Samuel Aston and Temperence Aston. She attended Long County High School in Ludowici. Beth met her husband, Phillip, at church in 1974. They married in 1977 and showed the world what true love looks like for 49 years.
Beth lived in Hinesville, Glennville, Germany and Kite. While in Germany, she worked in the U.S. post office on Harvey and Larson barracks as the postal supervisor. In Hinesville, she was a substitute teacher for Liberty County Schools and a key holder at Goody’s. She also worked in Kuwait as a postal supervisor.
Beth was a creative woman and enjoyed all crafts. She’s probably tried her hand at all the crafts out there. She loved sewing and was active in the ceramic community. Beth loved animals, children, gardening, crafting, traveling to other countries, and enjoying what life had to offer. Her greatest and proudest accomplishment is the family that she and Phillip created. Also important to her was her faith in God and the church where she was active.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Phillip W. Jones of Kite; daughters, Mary Ellen Jones of Statesboro, Mia Aston (Barry) of Ludowici; grandchildren, Caitlyn Winn (Prescott), Bryan Jones, great-granddaughter, Lorelei Winn, great-grandson on the way; and all the friends that became family throughout her life.
Funeral Services will be at Scott Baptist Church on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend David Oliver officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. prior to services.
