Mrs. Ellen Inez Graham, 82, of Swainsboro died Sunday morning, August 24, 2014 at the Emanuel County Nursing Home in Swainsboro following an extended illness.
Mrs. Graham was born December 23, 1931 in Cartersville Georgia to the late Paul Allen and Lemer Allen. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Sutherland; brother, Robert Allen. Mrs. Graham lived in Rome GA until moving to Swainsboro 11 years ago. She was a homemaker, loved to shop and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years Walter Graham of Swainsboro; sons, Jimmy Sutherland of Rome and David (Melissa) Graham of Twin City; daughters, Debra (Larry) Hall of Swainsboro, Donna (Stan) McCoy of Adrian and Diane (Randall) Williford of Swainsboro; sister, Betty Holbertt of Rome; 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Southside Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, August 26, 2014 with Reverends Earl Warnock, Chad Kennison and Herschel Clements officiating. Mrs. Graham will Lie in State one hour prior to service.
Interment will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, August 25, 1014 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Brown, Kenny Brown, Dale Williford, Eric Hall, Rodney Sellers and J. J. Williams.
Honorary pallbearers are Adult II Sunday School Class of Southside Baptist Church.
