Eulie Guy Perkins

Mr. Eulie Guy Perkins, 80, of Springfield passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah following an extended illness.

Mr. Perkins was born May 6, 1943, to the late Horace Perkins and Dorothy Boatright Perkins.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eulus Perkins, Steve Perkins and Eustus Perkins.  Mr. Perkins was retired from Union Camp where he worked as a brick mason.  He loved to farm and to take care of his livestock.  He enjoyed visiting his family in Swainsboro.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ethel Perkins of Springfield; sons, Jonathan Perkins (Connie) of Guyton, Eric Perkins of Springfield; daughter, Helen Thrasher (Richard) of Springfield; brother, Alec Perkins of Canoochee; sister, Dorothy Gibson of Swainsboro; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Larry Perkins officiating.

Pallbearers are Brandon Hill, Daryl Hill, Lance Perkins, and Larry Perkins.
