Mrs. Evelyn Peebles Price, 80, of Kite died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at the Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Price was born in Swainsboro but lived most of her life in Johnson County. She was preceded in death by her parents Robbie Peebles and Maggie Sumner Peebles, brothers, Ernie Peebles, Edmond Peebles and Bobby Peebles.
Mrs. Price loved cooking, camping, fishing and sewing.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years Elmer T. Price of Kite; sons, Donnie (Gail) Price of Swainsboro and Johnny Price of Kite; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at the Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning December 27, 2011 with Reverends Ray Jenkins and Paul Thompson officiating. Mrs. Price will Lie in State one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday December 26, 2011 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Toby Price, Mack Price, Joel Price, Todd Ellington, Sammy Lee and Senaca Lawrence
