Mrs. Evelyn R. Tillett, 56, of Swainsboro died Saturday morning, January 28, 2012 at the Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro following an extended illness.
Mrs. Tillett was life long resident of Emanuel County. She was preceded in death by her parents Wylie and Athine Henry; son, Jimmy Biggers; brother, Herb Henry. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Tillett of Swainsboro; son, Joey (Tracey) Biggers of Rincon; daughter, Bridgette Hammond of Pembroke; brothers, Robert (Evelyn) Henry and Alton (Bonnie) Henry both of Swainsboro; sisters, Hazel (Paul) Bush, Gayle Gregory, Eloyse Farrow, and Scarlett (Ben) Odom all of Swainsboro; 9 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Southside Baptist Church at 11 o’clock Monday, morning January 30, 2012 with Reverend Earl Warnock officiating. Mrs. Tillett will Lie in State one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Lambs Cemetery near Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday January 29, 2012 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Casey Henry, Rico Farrow, Mike Bush, Jimmy Peebles, Ben Odom and Raymond Strange.
