Frances Marion (Portwood) Stroud

Mrs. Frances Marion Stroud, 88, of Swainsboro passed away, Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Stroud was born in Wadley on May 23, 1935, to the late Robert Portwood and Adele Lockhart Portwood. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 68 years, Delmer Stroud; brothers, Rollie Portwood, Lonnie Portwood; sister, Carol Berry.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Stroud of Dellwood, Becki Stroud of Clarks Hill, SC; brother, Glen Portwood (Carole) of Macon; sister, Margaret McGowan of Grovetown; several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 24. 2024 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Andy Durden, Roy Lin Stroud, Harvey Lee Padgett, Donnie Garrett, Tim Garrett and David Parham.

Honorary pallbearers are Charle Stroud and Sandra Stroud.
