Fred Lewis Braswell

Mr. Fred Braswell, 85, of Adrian, GA, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Born in Fitzgerald, GA in 1940, Fred was the son of the late Donald Hugh and Blanche Avery Braswell. He grew up in the Calvary Methodist Church and was a member there, and more recently he had attended the Adrian Charge Churches. He served his country in the National Guard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. In his youth he raced cars at the Swainsboro Raceway and enjoyed attending races with his son. He was easygoing and one to always go with the flow.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Watson Braswell, his parents, his brothers, Don Braswell, Ned Braswell, Hugh Braswell, and a grandson, Jeremy Braswell.

He is survived by children, Clint (Nickole) Braswell of Adrian, Dave (Debra) Henry of Twin City, Tammy Chalker of Swainsboro, Chris Braswell of Milledgeville, and Barry Braswell of Adrian; grandchildren, Jared Chalker of Swainsboro, Hannah Henry of Twin City, Maggie Rae Braswell of Adrian; a great-grandson, Braiden Chalker; a sister, Carol (Jim) Berry of Evans, a special friend Carolyn Rosenfield, brother-in-law, Joe (Linda) Watson of Twin City; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum at 5:00pm with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.

The family will visit with friends at the cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Adrian Charge Churches c/o Kea Memorial Church, P.O. Box 267, Adrian, GA 31002-0267.
