Gary Pernell

Mr. Gary Pernell, 67, of Kite passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro following a brief illness.

Mr. Pernell was born July 26, 1952 to Laudice Pernell and Evie Dell Cooper Pernell. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, J. L. Pernell, Arnold Pernell, Dale Pernell, Frank Pernell; sister, JoAnn Hackle. Mr. Pernell loved to go fishing and watch TV.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his mother, Evie Dell Pernell of Kite; sisters, Willaine Rowland (Harrison) of Kite, Beverly Gay (Glen) of Waynesboro, and Paula Roberts (Mike) of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Steven Hackle, Bryson Rowland, Michael Roberts, Chris Ballard, Jeremy Rowland,

and Timmy Hackle.
