Gerome Williams

Mr. Gerome Williams, 85, of Swainsboro, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, following an extended illness.

Mr. Williams was born on March 5, 1940, in Swainsboro to the late Warren Jackson Williams and Oca Rowland Williams.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bennie Sherril Williams, Lamar Williams, Elton (Ram) Williams, Rowland Williams; sisters, Maxine Virginia Williams, Lynette Williams Watson; son, Warren Jerome “Jerry” Williams; daughter, Susan “Susie” Williams Hood.

Mr. Williams was a retired carpenter.  He loved fishing, tinkering on cars, buying and selling cars and playing the lottery.

He is survived by his daughters, Wendy (Lee) Kreutz of Richmond Hill, Nedra Wilkes (Dean) Hood of Kite; sister, Edith (Edie) Williams Pundt of Wadley; brothers, Glen (Grace) Williams , Woody Williams all of Kite; grandchildren, John David (Chelsea) Kreutz, Matthew Kreutz, Shelby Kreutz all of Richmond Hill, Amanda Edenfield, Cera (Johnathon) Hood Scarborough both of Kite, Eric (Victoria ) Hood of Fairview, NC., Brandon Hood, David Hood both of Kite, Kelly (Jottie) Hood Burgamy of Wrightsville, J.J. (Dana) Williams, Jodi (Jeffrey) Williams Brown, Ashley (Dewayne) Williams Williford; extended family, Jean Hendrix of Claxton, Scott and Felicia Glenn and family, Rusty and Jan Kangeter and family, Shana Richey and family, Jason Hendrix, Savannah Hendrix, and Lanna Todd; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Lamar Kersey officiating.

Interment will follow at Sardis Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are J.J. Williams, Robert Williams, Terry Cox, Bennie Williams, Rock Hooks, and Shane Futch.
