Gordon Silas Sheppard

Mr. Gordon Silas Sheppard, 94, of Kite passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at Scott Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.

Mr. Sheppard was born August 28, 1926 in Kite to the late Elzie Silas Sheppard and Aubrey Tharp Sheppard. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Milton Sheppard, Lemar Sheppard; sister, Sara Elizabeth Wheeler; daughter, Linda Kay Miller. Mr. Sheppard enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially saltwater fishing, and birds. He was a member of the VFW in Jensen Beach, FL. Mr. Sheppard was a member of New Home Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Michael Mauao of Port St. Lucie, FL; Jacqueline Virginia (Anthony) Carroll of Vera Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, September 15, 2020 10 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Phil Wilson officiating.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
