Mrs. Grace Lindsey Hood Bush, 80, of Swainsboro died Sunday afternoon, October 27, 2013 at the Scott Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Bush was born in Kite, Georgia to the late Asa Lindsey and Stella Hayes Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker Bush; sisters, Ouida Hood and Flora Lindsey.
Mrs. Bush was a life long resident of Emanuel and Johnson County. She loved to crochet, spent time with her family and her biggest fan was her grandchildren. Mrs. Bush was a member of Turning Point Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, William (Anita) Hood of Kite and Dean (Nedra) Hood of Swainsboro; daughter, Eloise Hodges of Swainsboro; sisters, Sandra (Raymond) Bell of Kite and Sallie Kay (Richard) Dixon of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Turning Point Baptist Church at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, October 30, 2013 with Reverends Craig Tillman and Lamar Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the Moxley Cemetery near Kite.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hood, Eric Hood, John Hodges, Trent Kersey, Matt Kersey and Danny Dixon.
