Mr. Lamb was born in Swainsboro and life long resident of Emanuel County. He was preceded in death by his parents Chandler and Marguerite Graham Lamb.
Mr. Lamb was a tool and die maker before retiring. He loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Lamb was a family man who provided for his family. He loved spending time with family and friends. Mr. Lamb was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Martha Dudley Lamb of Kite; son, Matt Lamb and Brandy Hudson of Swainsboro; daughters, Regina Watkins and Hines Keen of Kite, Kim and Willie Mincey of Kite, and Angela and Tony Hicks of Garfield; brother, Joey and Joyce Lamb of Kite; sister, Carol and Mike Holt of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Tiffany and Chris Anderson, Hannah Mincey, Wes Mincey, Jeb Watkins, Johnna Hicks, JC Hicks, Josh Hicks, Alaya Hudson, Aubrey Hudson, Leslie Keen and Melissa Keen; great grandson, Aiden Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Williams Chapel Baptist Church at 2 o’clock Monday, afternoon May 14, 2012 with Reverends Allen Meeks and Lamar Kersey officiating. Mr. Lamb will Lie in State one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday May 13, 2012 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Chad Daniel, Rodney Dudley, Phillip Holt, Larry Hester, Billy Hester, Clint Watson, Jason Bishop and Donnie Dudley.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Wilson, Darrell Wilson, Ray Henry, Ricky Henry, Lintorn Brett, Harry Martin and Roy Thompson.
