Mrs. Harriett H. Taylor, 63, of Swainsboro died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Pruitt Hospice of Swainsboro.
Mrs. Taylor was born February 1, 1951 in Swainsboro to the late Arthur William Herrington and Louise Shepherd Herrington. She was preceded in death by her son, Sam “Jack” Vescuso and sister, Jo Ann Williams. Mrs. Taylor was a life long resident of Emanuel County. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and truly loved helping other people.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Taylor of Swainsboro; son, John (Sherry) Vescuso of Swainsboro; daughter, Connie Kea (Derek Jukes) of Swainsboro; brothers, Rufus (Sue) Herrington, William (Rita) Herrington and Lee Herrington all of Kite; grandchildren, Tabitha Kea, Jesse Kea, Lauren Jukes, Destrie Vescuso, Dillion Roberson and Zenus Roberson all of Swainsboro; great grandchildren, Zaidee Love and Zoey Love both of Swainsboro; special niece, Melissa Herrington, several nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Kite Church of God at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, September 10, 2014 with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating.
Interment will be in the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Kite.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, September 9, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Harry Martin, Jason Moore, Senaca Lawrence, Greg Newsome, Richie Wilson and Jerry Burch.
