Harvey L. Flanders

June 16, 1942 — September 2, 2017

Mr. Harvey L. Flanders, 75, of Twin City passed away Saturday night, September 2, 2017 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Flanders was born June 16, 1942 in Swainsboro to the late Johnny Flanders and Mary Tyson Flanders. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Flanders; brother, Doyle Flanders; sister, Grace Jones. Mr. Flanders lived most of his life in Emanuel County up to 1985 when he moved to Lincolnton, Ga. about four months ago he moved back to his hometown. He was retired from heating and air. Mr. Flanders loved working in the yard, reading his Bible, and quoting scriptures. He was a member of The Bride of Christ Church.

Survivors include his son, Lamar Flanders (Dana); daughter, Sophia Henry (Jason); brothers, Charles Flanders (Martha), Richard Flanders (Sandra), Johnny Ray Flanders (Lou); sisters, Virginia Canady, Nancy Claxton; grandchildren, Colton Flanders, Danielle Dixon, Drue Dixon, Curtis Ducker, Jarrett Henry, and Sabra Henry; great-grandchildren, Kayson Dixon, and Kainon Ducker; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 4:00 p.m. September 4, 2017 with Reverend Michael Newman officiating.
