Mr. Henry M. Wilkerson, 58, of Twin City, died Wednesday night, November 2, 2011, at the Emanuel Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Mr. Wilkerson was a long life residence of Emanuel County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quince A. Wilkerson and Evie Dell Hall Wilkerson; brothers, Larry Wilkerson, George Wilkerson, and Hugh Dorsey Wilkerson; sisters, Mazine Stewart and Jackie Reese. Mr. Wilkerson loved building things and being with his family. He was employed with Twin City Concrete.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Margie Barber Wilkerson of Twin City; son, Henry A. Wilkerson of Swainsboro; brothers, Charles Ronald Wilkerson of Swainsboro, Randy (Glenda) Wilkerson of Swainsboro and Wyman (Becky) Wilkerson of Aiken, SC; sisters, Trannie (Edward) Hopkins of Swainsboro, Sandra (Wayne) Marsh of Dellwood, and Valerie Davis of Kite; grandchildren, Courtney Wilkerson and Claudia Faye Wilkerson both of Swainsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, November 5, 2011, with Elder Tommy Rountree and Rev. Donnie Bush officiating. Burial will be in the Red Bluff Cemetery near Soperton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, at Chapman Funeral Home, and will assemble at the residence of 230 McLeod Drive, Swainsboro, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Henry, Rodney Sellers, Tim Wilkerson, Neal Wilkerson, Roger McKenzie, Chris Wilkerson.
